On arrival Bangkok you get connecting flight to Chiang Rai and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a short optional visit to „Wat Rong Khun‟ - a unique white temple filled with delicate details. It is established by a well-known Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who had accumulated funds over a period of 20 years from selling his paintings. “I intend to create the replica of the magnificent and resplendent heaven.” The artist says. The temple is materialized based on the artist‟s imagination and vision. Spend the rest of the day free at leisure.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Thailand border at Chiang Khong. From here, you'll pass through immigration and cross into Laos at Houei Xay. Here you meet with your local Laos guide where you join the Lung Say cruise, and transfer to Pakbeng, a small riverside village ideal for a stopover between Houei Xay and Luang Prabang. On the way, you can observe rural life along the Mekong River and witness kids splashing in the river and waving as you cruise past. Visit Ban Houeilanpan, a small village inhabited by the Hmong hill tribe, and Ban Koneteun, a village of Tai Leu ethnic group. Enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Pakbeng in the late afternoon and checking into your hotel followed by dinner.

Enjoy an early rise and breakfast at the lodge. Visit the morning market of Pakbeng where nearby villagers and hill tribe‟s people trade their products. Traditional markets have been the backbone of the communities in Laos from the beginning and offer an amazing insight into the daily activities of the local people. Bid farewell to the surroundings of Pakbeng and board the boat that sails further downstream towards the Kamu Lodge. Make a stop at Ban Baw village and observe how people traditionally make rice wine. Continue cruising and enjoy lunch on board before arriving at the Kamu Lodge. Check in at the lodge and engage in several community activities you may choose from such as rice planting, a local village visit or a hike through the surrounding jungle and look for medical plants or to a waterfall. Dinner is served at the lodge.

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy some free time and visit the Kamu village that surrounds the lodge. This morning you will change boats as the Luang Say cruise returns to Pakbeng and you board the Kamu River boat later in the morning for a gentle cruise through magnificent scenery towards the Pak Ou caves. The two sanctuaries of the caves hold over 4,000 Buddha statues which were left by pilgrims over the course of time. Some statues are mere inches while others reach a height of nearly seven feet. After your visit, continue the last part of your cruise to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Surrounded by limestone karsts formations, this final stretch of the cruise is an unforgettable experience. Take in the magnificent scenery and arrive in town on time for lunch. You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks – an awe-inspiring sight. Please tell your guide a day in advance if you wish to make an offering so he/she can prepare some food for you to hand over to the monks. This early morning ritual dates back generations in Laos. Watch the town come to life in the morning then return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, visit the Royal Palace, which is now a National Museum and houses the precious exhibits that used to be possessions of the former Laos Royal family. Continue with the exploration of the main Buddhist temples of Luang Prabang including; Wat Visoun, a 16th century temple which serves as a small museum for religious artifacts; Wat Aham, built in the early 19th century temple and Wat Xiengthong, a 16th century temple which epitomizes all the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture. Take the opportunity to interact with the monks at the Wat Mai temple before ending the day with a climb of 328 steps to the top of Phousi Hill. Where you can watch the sun set over Luang Prabang town and the two rivers and forested hills which form its natural borders.

Enjoy a visit to all essential landmarks this small and charismatic city has to offer. A world apart from other frantic Asian capitals, Vientiane remains a quiet and pleasant town. Start at Wat Sisaket, which is the only temple left intact after the Siamese invasion of 1828. See thousands of Buddha statues lined up before visiting Wat Phra Keo, which is a religious museum that displays a collection of art representing Lao and Khmer artifacts. Continue with a visit to the most popular Wat in town, Wat Si Muang before visiting Patouxay monument, Laos' version of the Arc de Triomphe. End the day at That Luang, regarded to as the holiest site in Laos. This gold-like building was constructed in the 16th century.

Depart for a one hour drive southeast of the city to the Buddha Park, which was built in 1958. The park is a fanciful sculpture garden full of Buddhist and religious images that appear to be centuries old. Of particular interest is a giant concrete pumpkin, its three-level interior representing hell, earth and heaven. The statues are made of cement and are ornate, and sometimes bizarre in design.
