Day 2 Ho Chi Minh (B/L)
Explore the financial Capital of Vietnam formerly known as Saigon. Visit the Reunification Palace, the War Museum, the Jade Emperor Pagoda and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh
In the morning visit the Chu Chi tunnels. This underground tunnel system covers close to 200km and went right under the US air base. The tunnels used to span from Close to the Cambodian border right to the edge of Ho Chi Minh City a show of the Vietnamese will and determination, the tunnels even included schools and field hospitals. After lunch shop at the local Cholon Market.

Day 4 Ho Chi Minh to Dalat (40 Km Cycling)
Start the day by transfering out of the chaos that is Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) City. Stop at the town of Bao Loc renowned for its tea and coffee our next stop is Prenn waterfall where we check our bikes before our ride over Prenn Pass to Dalat city, cycle around the city past Xuan Huong lake, Dalat flower garden, Dalat market, Langbiang mountain before finishing at your hotel.

Day 5 Dalat (60 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Today is a cycle ride around Dalat Start the day cycling around Xuan Huong Lakse and the Ta Nung area visiting local vegetable and flower fields, forests and coffee plantations. Stop by a mushroom farm (depends on season) and the rural market of Nam Ban. After lunch, visit Elephant waterfall followed by giant statues in Linh An Pagoda, before returning to Dalat by car.

Day 6 Dalat - Nha Trang (100 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Today's ride is mostly downhill as you descend from the cool climate of Dalat past Cham temples to the coastal town of Nhatrang. In many ways today is the highlight of the trip cycle on the winding mountain roads enjoying the views of the coastal plains, pine forest vegetation and rugged countryside. Opportunit to cycle till the afternoon before transfering the remaining few Kms to Nhatrang for those fitter riders you may make it all the way to Nhatrang.

Day 7 Nha Trang to Tuy Hoa of Phu Yen (120 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Transfer to about 50km outside Nha Trang, today you cycle parallel to the reunification express railroad. Seen as the "bridge" between North and South Vietnam. A gently rolling terrain with views of the foothills on the highlands to the West. Pass tribal and rural Vietnamese villages before descending to Dai Lanh beach for lunch. In the afternoon cycle to Tuy Hoa town, in Phu Yen province.

Day 8 Phu Yen To Quang Ngai (40 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer about 30km and start cycling on the country roads to the small village of Qui Nhon, have lunch at a local restaurant before transfering the rest of the way to Quang Ngai city.

Day 9 Quang Ngai to Hoi An (50 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Ride to My Lai, the site of one of the worst massacres of the War, and take a guided tour of the site and museum. Continue cycling into Vietnamese countryside. Loop back through quiet, rural roads to the main highway before continuing by vehicle to Hoi An.

Day 10 Hoi An (50 Km Cycling or Free at Leisure) (B)
Visit My Son, the ancient centre of Cham civilisation. Transfer out of town to avoid the highway before cycling along the Song Tranh River to Mai Son. Spend the afternoon visiting this site before returning to Hoi An.

Day 11 Hoi An to Hue (100 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Drive to the Hai Van Pass which is just past Danang and try to take on this pass which ascends over 500m in just 10km. After lunch, turn off the main highway and take a coastal side road for 44 km almost all the way to our destination. Energetic riders will make it all the way into Hue.

Day 12 Train from Hue to Nam Dinh (25 Km Cycling) (B/L/D)
Explore Hue and visit the citadel. Take a boat ride along the Perfume River and visit tombs of the Nguyen emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. After dinner take the Reunification Express Train to Nam Dinh arriving the following morning

Day 13 Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)
From Nam Dinh we transfer to Ninh Binh and cycle through spectacular soaring limestone mountains to the ancient city of Hua Lu and overnight at Cuc Phuong National Park.

Day 14 Ninh Binh - Haiphong (B/L/D)
After exploring Cuc Phuong park by bike we meander on back roads past friendly villages before a transfer to Haipong, one of Vietnam’s major ports.

Day 15 Halong Bay - Cat Ba (B/L/D)
We take a fast boat to the southern end of Halong Bay and once at Fulong, on Cat Ba Island, cycle the island’s only road, stopping at Cat Ba town as we ride through fishing villages.

Day 16 Cat Ba - Hanoi (B/L/D)
Cruise by boat through Halong Bay and wonder at the thousands of limestone karst mountains rising dramatically out of the emerald sea. Afternoon transfer to Hanoi.

Day 17 Hanoi City Tour (B/L/D)
Free day to explore the many sites of Hanoi -- Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature or the charming Old Quarter before taking a cyclo ride around Hanoi. Enjoy a city tour without any pedaling!
