Day 1 Arrive Yangon
Connect for the flight to Yangon, rest of the day free at leisure and a welcome dinner

Day 2 Yangon
Spend the day on a city tour of Yangon, sights include the Shwedagon pagoda, the royal lake and gardens and the Chaukthatgyi pagoda with its colossal reclining Buddha.

Day 3 Yangon – Bagan
Fly to Bagan, take a boat trip by river to see some of its famous temples and stupas, including Shwezigon stupa, Gubyaukkyi temple and the massive Dhammayangyi temple.

Day 4 Bagan
Start the day at the colourful NyaungOo market, immerse in traditional village life at Minanthu before visiting the temples of Nandamanya, Pthyathonzu, Sulamani, and Gubyaukkyi (Myinkabar). After lunch look around a lacquer ware workshop then enjoy the sunset from a temple mount.

Day 5 Bagan - Mandalay
Check out of your hotel for and board the cruise for the overnight boat trip to Mandalay

Day 6 Mandalay
Visit Amarapura, Myanmar's most famous monastery, home to 1,700 monks. The rest of the day gives a chance to see the production of crafts including woodcarving, bronze casting, gold leaf making and tapestry. Take a boat trip from Mandalay along the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun. After dinner in Mandalay enjoy a traditional puppet show.

Day 7 Mandalay
Enjoy the day at Maymyo, named after the British Colonel May, this town was a British hill station in 1896 and with decades of British rule the landscape looks like the Cotswolds with colonial houses, return to Mandalay in the late afternoon

Day 8 Mandalay – Nyaungshwe
A day travelling, fly to Heho, before driving to Pindaya with a visit to Pindaya Cave before driving across the Shan Plateau to Nyaungshwe on the edge of the Inle Lake where you will spend the night.

Day 9 Nyaungshwe (Inle Lake)
A boat trip sightseeing on Inle Lake sightseeing, visit the floating market where you can see local hill tribes selling and trading their products. Visit Phandawoo Pagoda, with a famous Inle weaving workshop and Ngaphal Chaung monastery.

Day 10 Nyaungshwe (Inle Lake)
Experience life on the Inle Lake visit silversmith workshops, traditional weaving a blacksmith and cigar making factory.

Day 11 Nyaungshwe - Yangon
Drive to Heho Airport and fly back to Yangon, spend the afternoon visiting the main market of Yangon.

Day 12 Yangon – Golden Rock
A 112-mile overland drive from Yangon to Kim-pun base camp at the foot of the mountain ridge. On the way, take in Bago, the ancient capital of Mon, including the longest pagoda in Myanmar, a 54-metre long reclining Buddha and a cigar-making enterprise. A mountain truck will take you to Yathae (Hermit) mountain and from there you can hike for an hour through to Golden Rock. Stay overnight at the Mountain top hotel near Golden Rock.

Day 13 Golden Rock - Yangon
In the morning, stroll around the hill sites before returning to Yangon.

Day 14 Yangon - Depart
Depart from Yangon to your onward destination
