You don't have to be a teacher to volunteer to teach abroad and there is no need to have a TEFL certificate. Xplore-Asia works with a number of schools in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam to arrange visas and to place you in local primary and high schools. You don't even need to speak the local language and the programme is open to all volunteers whether you are on a gap year, at university or wanting a career break. All we require is a good standard of spoken English. Please do be aware many placements are in rural areas with basic accommodation.
